All India Halai Muslim Khatri Federation originated from the parent organization Halai Muslim Khatri Conference which was established way back in 1923 in Jetpur. Five of old Conference gathering were held in Jetpur, Junagadh, Dhoraji, and Bhanvad as per recorded information. But there was only one conference done between 1937 to 1982 in the year 1960. In May-1982, Halai Muslim Khatri Conference was dissolved.
All India Halai Muslim Khatri Federation was formulated in the year 1983. Similar Federation bodies were expected to come in place for Pakistan, Africa, and Europe+America under the hood of Halai Muslim Khatri Confederation. Eventually, only India and Pakistan Federations came into existence.
The first conference of Halai Muslim Khatri Federation was held on 10-11 Dec 1983 and subsequently, a detailed constitution was formulated and implemented. This constitution was fully aligned with the Confederation constitution. First Federation office was situated at Jamnagar. Then it became the official organization for community welfare services, getting re-elected for the new body every third year till 2007.
In Dec-2017, it was discussed and agreed to reformulate constitution of AIHMKF and make it independent from the confederation constitution, in line with general body meeting discussions and approval. The same is under review/update.
